The Last Prophecy

At the first manifestation of Ye Great Old Ones,
Two-thirds of humanity will fall into utter madness;
Only the most ignorant and the most philosophical will endure--
The first group, because they are too stupid to fully
Comprehend the hideous enormity of Their coming,
The second group because of a wholly unwarranted optimism...
The rest of mankind, too dependent upon their artificial concepts of Reality,
Will totally lose their shit.

At the second manifestation of Ye Great Old Ones,
The long-hidden and not altogether human cult of Cthulhu will reveal themselves
As the abhorrent and utterly alien devotees of Yog-Sothoth
Descend upon the fog-riven earth, whilst up from the Deep Places
Of earth and sea shall rise the horrid worshippers
Of Shub-Niggurath, of Nyarlathotep and of Tsathoggua...
And then the last remnants of sane humankind
Will be driven, shrieking, into the Void....

At the third and final manifestation of Ye Great Old Ones,
Azathoth Itself will awaken, reaching into the minds
Of all sentient life in the Cosmos,
Sundering all laws of Time and Space, shattering at once
All matter, anti-matter, and un-matter, blending
Everything and Nothing into one vast smoothie
and swallowing all in an eternal gurgling slurp.
