Dystopian Springtime Art Contest is ON!!!!!
All right, you primitive screwheads, listen up: Art Contest of April 2024 is launching as of TODAY! We have 2,340 Points (for now) to bestow as prizes...that amount will increase before the contest deadline, and I will decide how to divvy them up later but I estimate that the 1st Prize winner will receive 1500 of them. The Theme, as befitting April, the cruelest month, is DYSTOPIAN SPRINGTIME... There will be three categories of art allowed to express this concept/aesthetic/mood: Category a) Poetry--particularly Haiku Category b) Fractal Art (I know several people who I hope will participate in this field) Category c) your personal style of painting/drawing/digital art/photography {NO AI ALLOWED} The entries must be completed and submitted by no later than Cinco de Mayo, so May the 4th be with you!!!

Re: New Art Contest--I plan to buy more Points so the prizes will be plump and enticing...as to the theme or themes, still thinking about those! It occurs to me that we could have more than one category for peoples to compete in; a Poetry competition, a Sketch Challenge, a Fractal Battle--you know, something for everyone! And all these various categories will be bound together by a single theme, which I have not yet determined upon...but it has to be impressive, probably ominous, and grand... What we need is a Phrase--not more than two or three words which encapsulate the spirit of the theme; @HaiSociety has suggested "Dystopian Springtime" which has a lot of potential--what do the rest of you think? Feel free to lob your opinions at me in the comments.
